next the panels came off and then the metal work behind the panels.the metal work from the
p2 frame then went in ,with all the gaps filled.the frame was then widened around the engine mounts to take the larger engine.
a new petrol tank and oil tank were fabricated, the forks ,front shock and stand were
shortened and the whole lot given one of my ten minute dulux paint jobs.
it took about six months to build ,more to the fact i was between 2 house renovations and
on a sort of garage strike.

notice the difference in height to a stock p2.

look closer.its a 1966 vespa 90.
now ive built a few things but this was the hardest scoot ive done.started of with a 90 frame, and
a written of 1997 p200..removed the legshields and running boards.no easy task on a vespa.next the 90 steering column came
out and was replaced by the p2 one.the legshields came of an old model p range and were shortened and welded into place.
next stage was to make new floor runners from sheet steel,to match the legshields at the front
and narrowed to suit the rear.
next all the metal work inside the frame was removed and replaced with fresh steel, lowered
to allow room for a bigger tank and the new rear shock mounting.
scoot was built in 2000 and is used as a runneround
