built this 50 special in 94/95 as i needed a cheap runner round for work.wanted something small for going through traffic but it also needed to keep up with it.its probably a good example of how not to put a large engine into a small frame.

already had the scoot,so i got hold of a t5 engine.as i was in a rush to build it and as it was the first vespa i messed with,i built it the way others had done so befor.
this involve cutting the engine mounts down,opening mount holes,and putting in engine..i should have widened the frame and moved the engine and shock mounts to there correct possitions really.highnsight eh!!.

its been on the road since i built it with no problems,apart from it dont like speed humps or kerbs.had to change the rings last year and thats it.
oh and i fell of it going in a straight line,but thats another story.
